for Property Sellers
NEW LAWS come into effect from 6th
April 2009
From this date
1. Your agent must
have your HIP before marketing your property.
This
is a new requirement.
HIPs must include an Index, Sale statement, Property Information
Questionnaire, Energy Performance Certificate, Land Registry
Title and Plan, Local and Drainage search results.
Our tip :
We can provide a market ready HIP within a few days as searches
can be added later.
This can get you on the market quicker.
2. Your HIP must contain a Property Information Questionnnaire
(PIQ)
This
is a new requirement.
Our
tip :
Complete the form online with our new eform facility when
you order your HIP.
3. Your HIP must contain complete Local Authority search
information.
This
is a new requirement.
Official searches from the Local Authority direct have always
been complete.
Other suppliers were allowed to insure missing information
but this is not now permitted.
Our tip :
Make sure your HIP includes an official search supplied
by the Local authority direct. Our HIPs do.
